Bees and honey in Montezemolo

Only hard-working insects such as bees can carry out the careful work of gleaning and collecting minute drops to assemble considerable quantities of nectar, which will be then transformed into honey through another patient and careful process.

Honey is a natural product with energizing, therapeutic, and sometimes comforting properties. Every first week of July, a honey fair takes place in the village of Montezomolo: you will find a market and a fair showing national apiarian tools and products. During the fair, the best honey productions of Piedmont and of the neighbouring Liguria are awarded with the quality prize “Apiemonte” (wordplay with “Api”- bees, and “Piemonte”-Piedmont”).
